Separated Parents information Programme
The Separated Parents Information Programme (SPIP) is a course which helps you understand how to put your children first while you are separating, even though you may be in dispute with your child’s other parent. The course helps parents learn the fundamental principles of how to manage conflict and difficulties.
We deliver the SPIP programme in business as usual times in a group situation at our venue in Luton, but at present during Covid we have moved our delivery to remote training via Microsoft Teams.
The cost if you are a self-referrer on Microsoft Teams is £70 which includes VAT, when we move back to face to face delivery cost per person is £108.50.
You will not attend the same group as your ex-partner but the groups are mixed gender to support each participant to be able to have the opportunity to listen to other people experiences and pints of view.
Courts have the power, by making a court order, to ‘direct’ parents to attend a programme aimed at promoting safe contact with children. Cafcass is usually asked to advise the court if it is suitable for you. If you are directed by the court for the most part your attendance will be funded by Cafcass.
If you would like more information on the SPIP programme please have a look at our Fact Sheet and handbook that are included as part of this website page.
The SPIP programme is 4.5 hours in duration and we usually deliver this on a morning 10-2.30pm.
